The belt tensioner is a vulnerable part of auto parts, and the belt is easy to be stretched after a long time of use. The belt tensioner can automatically adjust the tension of the belt. With the belt tensioner, the car runs more smoothly, reduces the noise during driving, and prevents the car from slipping.
The tensioner is usually located on the inner side of the loose side of the belt, which ensures that the belt is only subject to unidirectional bending. Additionally, to minimize the wrap angle of the idler pulley, the tensioner should be installed as close as possible to the drive pulley.
